Several
small reservoirs in this area offer boating, fishing,
swimming and more. These include, Mona Reservoir
which is visible from I-15 at Mona; Piute Reservoir
south of Marysvale; Yuba Reservoir south of Nephi,
and Palisade Lake and Gunnison Reservoir
west of Sterling. Many of these locations are state
parks, and have camping and other amenities.
Rivers
The
Sevier River, near Big Rock Candy Mountain
Resort and the town of Marysvale, is excellent for
one-hour (or longer) trips in kayaks or rafts, particularly
when high water conditions exist to stir up the rapids.
Rentals and guide service are available during the summer
months.
