Springdale Utah lies at the southwest entrance to Zion National Park and is the closest gateway city in the vicinity of the park. Zion draws nearly three million visitors each year and Springdale provides much of the lodging, dining and other travel services for the park.

Remember that as of May 26, 2000 the main canyon of Zion National Park will be closed to private vehicles. Shuttles available at staging areas in Springdale take visitors to all of the major points of interest within the main canyon.
