Ashdown Creek (Iron County) originates on the western slopes of Cedar Breaks National Monument and drains west into the head of Coal Creek. The creek runs through Ashdown Gorge and was named after George Ashdown who developed the region and owned a ranch and two sawmills on the creek. There are several natural bridges in the area.
