Brighton

Great snow, value and numerous new features await skiers at Brighton. Two high-speed quadruple, three double-and two triple-chair lifts whisk skiers and snowboarders to more vertical terrain than ever. Brighton offers more night skiing than any of the Western ski areas

Location: Brighton is located at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon and is 30 minutes southeast of downtown Salt Lake City. UTA bus services the Brighton area from Salt Lake and the bottom of Big Cottonwood Canyon.

Season and Operating Schedule: Early November through late April. Lifts operate 9 am to 4 pm daily. Night lift tickets begin at 12:30 and end at 9 pm. Night skiing and snowboarding is offered on over 18 lighted trails mid-December through early April from 4 pm-9 pm. Monday through Saturday.

Kids Ski Free!: The first resort in Utah to offer kids free skiing and snowboarding. ANY DAY ALL SEASON LONG, kids under 10 ski free and kids over 70 ski for $10!

Average Annual Snowfall: Over 500 inches of fluffy Wasatch powder with 200 acres of snowmaking.

The Terrain: Over 850 acres in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Base elevation 8,755, Summit elevation 10,500, Hike summit 10,700. Over 1,745′ lift served vertical and almost 2,000′ hike accesed vertical drop.

Brighton has 66+ runs on two mountains, 21% Beginner, 40% Intermediate, 39% Advanced. Brighton offers expert skiers some of the best backcountry acess in Utah.

High Speed Lifts: Brighton has three high speed quads, along with one triples and three doubles.

Ski and Snowboard School: For more information on group or private lessons, workshops, or clinics, call the Brighton Ski School at (800) 873-5512.

Restaurants: The Alpine Rose offers cafeteria style dining with hours from 8 am to 8:30 pm. Molly Green’s is more intimate. (A private club for members).

Lodging: Children 10 and under stay and ski free with parents at the Brighton Lodge located slopeside. Call the Brighton Lodge at (800)873-5512 for reservations.
