Deer Valley

Rated by Ski Magazine as “America’s Best Resort,” Deer Valley is unsurpassed in the grooming of its runs. The resort is served by 13 lifts, including two high-speed detachable quadruple-chair lifts, nine triple-chair and two double-chair lifts. Deer Valley is located in the historic town of Park City, only 35 minutes southeast of Salt Lake City.

Mountain and Skiing Facts: Deer Valley skiing is spread over four mountains: Empire Canyon, Flagstaff, Bald and Bald Eagle Mountains. The mountains are served by 19 lifts, including one four passenger high-speed gondola, five high-speed detachable quads three fixed grip quad chairlifts, eight triple chairs and tow double chairs which access 87 ski runs and six bowls. The base altitude is 6,570 feet, the summit is 9,570 with a vertical drop of 3,000 feet.

Location: Follow I-80 towards Cheyenne. Take the Park City exit (Exit #145) onto Highway 224, which runs six miles before leading onto Park City’s Park Avenue. At the intersection of Park Avenue and Deer Valley Drive, turn left. Bear left and continue on Deer Valley Drive to Deer Valley Drive South until you reach the Snow Park Lodge. 36 miles east of Salt Lake.

Schedule Season & Hours of Operation: Opens early December and closes early April. 9:00 am- 4:15 pm, daily.

Accessibility: Deer Valley is found 36 miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport in the town of Park City. A wide variety of transportation options are available.

Runs: Deer Valley has a total of 87 runs, 6 bowls and 8 chutes. Deer Valley’s terrain is 15% beginner, 50% intermediate and 35% expert. Deer Valley receives an average annual snowfall of 300 inches. Over 500 acres of skiable terrain is covered by snowmaking

Credit Cards: All major credit cards are accepted at Deer Valley Resort.

Ski School: Deer Valley’s Ski School offers lessons and programs for all ages. Call Skier Services at 888-SKI-TIPS (754-8477) or 435-645-6648 for additional information and rates.

Child Care: The Deer Valley Children’s Center is a state-licensed facility providing indoor supervision and activities for infants and children two months to 12 years old. Please call for specific information. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Dining: Deer Valley resort operates six different restaurants, serving breakfast, lunch, apre’s ski and dinner. Deer Valley’s premier restaurant, The Mariposa, is located mid-mountain in the Silver Lake Lodge. Deer Valley also offers the Seafood Buffet, Silver Lake and Snow Park Restaurants, McHenry’s and Bald Mountain Pizza.
