Snowbird

With 3,240 vertical feet and the finest powder stretching more than three miles, it’s no wonder Snowbird is beloved by skiers around the world. The resort’s 125-passenger tram climbs to an 11,000-foot altitude in 10 minutes, ensuring skiers of intermediate and expert ability a phenomenal experience. Beginners can find plenty of terrain suited to their tastes within Snowbird’s 2,200 acres.

Location: Snowbird is only 29 miles from Salt Lake City InternationalAirport, with over 600 daily nonstop flights from the most major US cities.

Lifts: Snowbird has 10 lifts, one 125-passenger aerial tram giving a seven minute ride to Hidden Peak, two high-speed quads, and seven double chairlifts.

Kids Ski Free! Two children twelve years and under can ski free on the chairlifts when an adult buys an all day ticket.

Group Rates:
Minimum 20 tickets: tram only $45 and chairs only $40.

Elevation and Vertical Drop: Snowbird’s resort village is at 8,100 feet. Hidden peak is at 11,000 feet and the lowest point of skiing is at 7,760 feet, giving a continuous vertical drop of 3,240 feet.

Runs: Terrain is rated 25% beginner/novice, 30% intermediate and 45% expert/advanced. There are 82 named runs and a whole 2,500 acres of skiable terrain. Snowbird’s average annual snowfall is 500 inches. Snowbird’s snowmaking system can cover about 100 acres.

Snowboarding: Powdertools is the specialist snowboard equipment and apparel store.

Child Care:
“Camp Snowbird” located at Snowbird’s Cliff Lodge offers state licensed daycare for children 3 to 12 years. The nursery in the same location cares for children 6 weeks and up. Call 801-933-2256 for information and reservations

World Class Health Spa: The Cliff Spa and Salon is a 27,000 square foot fitness and relaxation facility, located on the east wing top two floors of the Cliff Lodge, for resort guests 18 years of age and older. The spa features 20 private treatment rooms, plus a full service women’s/men’s styling salon. Services include massage, herbal wraps, skin treatments, manicures, and pedicures. The spa also offers a rooftop lap pool, giant whirlpool, a large aerobics room and extensive weight training and conditioning equipment. Personal trainers are available by appointment. Day use fees are waived with the purchase of a spa treatment.

World Class Mountain School: Snowbird has over 200 professional instructors that offer all day and private and group lessons by the hour.
