Davis
Davis County was named after Captain Daniel C. Davis of`the Mormon Battalion. It is bordered by Weber County to the north, and Salt Lake County to the south. To the east are the Wasatch Mountains. The Great Salt Lake is the west border, and covers 365 square miles of Davis County. The great climate and rich soil make Davis County a good place for agriculture, and helped it to gain the slogan: “Davis County, the Garden Spot of Utah.”

Economy: The main industries include defense industry, small manufacturing and distribution, service industries, and agriculture (especially alfalfa, grain, onions, and fruit). Hill Air Force Base is the areas largest employer.
