Utah State Parks
In Utah’s 45 heritage, scenic, recreation and waterfront State Parks you can camp, boat, swim, fish, picnic, ride horseback, visit interpretive areas, enjoy nature trails, play golf, hike, bike, ride off-highway vehicles or just relax with family and friends. Even in winter, cross-country skiers, snowmobilers, ice fishers and hardy campers are taking advantage of Utah State Parks. Recreation opportunities found in the state parks are as diverse as the parks themselves.
Utah State Parks and Recreation was proud to host the biathlon, cross-country, and portions of the Nordic Combined events of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games at Soldier Hollow-Wasatch Mountain State Park. Our other state parks feature Utah’s American Indian culture, a wild bison herd, desert and alpine terrain, high-mountain lakes and reservoirs and wondrous vistas.
