Anasazi Indian Village
Anasazi Indian Village State Historical Site (Garfield County) is the site of an ancient Anasazi Indian village in what is now Boulder. In 1959, initial excavations were started and it is believed that the people of the village lived there from 1075 A.D. to 1275 A.D. Anasazi means “Ancient Ones” in Navajo. The site is now a state park which has a beautiful visitor center and a walk-through trail allowing sightseers to visit the ruins.
